Controversy Vs Publicity or Publicity Vs Controversy

Well the hot topic of the day or the past few days....no its not Filmfare Award nite nor is it the world cup and not even Elections. I know the queen of controversies (Rakhi Sawant) must be feeling quite insecure. This time its a mixture of all 3. When we talk of 3, latest would bring to our minds '3 IDIOTS'. But this time i am talking of the collision of cricket-politics-bollywood.
I guess the young heart throbs must be thanking Shahrukh, because of whom they can celebrate Valentine's Day without any fear of Political interference. As this time the poilitician paid goons would be busy pelting stones, damaging public property near the multiplexes...showing mercy to the shop owners whose shops would be decorated with flowers, chocolates, cards, for this years Valentines day.
Indeed they say words are like swords....so use them carefully. But i guess when you accuse someone of making a particular statement I guess you need to put urself in the opposite person's shoes to understand what did he actually meant and why he meant so.Sometimes expressions are wrongly translated by media or wrongly understood by viewers which spread like fire and cause mass destruction. People need to understand it was not Pakistan he spoke about it was a Cricket fan who supported a player, this does not make him a hardcore Pakistani.
When every year we proudly celebrate India's Independence Day......after such controversies one needs to really think do we have the freedom of expression and speech. I am not a Shahrukh Khan fan but i just support him cause I feel there is nothing wrong in expressing yourself unless you verbal abuse someone. I would see the movie ' My Name is Khan' not from entertainment point of view but i guess this time i would see to show that i live in a democratic, independent country where nobody decides what i do or what i say.
